Common Claims we handle include:

Fire Damage

Fire has been defined by the courts as “combustion sufficient enough to produce a spark, flame or glow.”

Building Collapse

Direct physical loss to covered property involving collapse of a building or any part of it caused by perils insured against in the policy; hidden decay; hidden vermin or insect damage; weight of contents (equipment, animals or people); weight of rain collected on a roof; use of defective materials/methods when the collapse occurs during construction.

Freezing of Pipes

Freezing of plumbing, heating or air conditioning systems or automatic fire protective sprinkler system or of a household appliance.

Power Outages

The failure of power or other utility service if the failure takes place off the described location.

Electrical Damage

Damage to insured property as a result of sudden and accidental damage from artificially generated electrical current.

Windstorm

The peril of windstorm involves damage caused by direct action of the wind, including high winds, cyclones, tornadoes and hurricanes.

Water Damage

Means accidental discharge or leakage of water or steam as the direct result of the breaking or cracking of any part of a system or appliance containing water or steam, other than an automatic sprinkler system.

Glass Breakage

All building glass, including storm windows and doors, is covered under the “glass peril”

Internal Explosion

Any explosion (unless specifically excluded) “occurring inside the described property or other structure containing insured personal property.”

Falling Objects

Covers damage to the exterior of the insured premises and its contents if the falling object first damages the roof or exterior wall.

Lightning

Lightning is “naturally generated electricity from the atmosphere.”

Accidental Discharge

Accidental discharge of water or steam from a plumbing, heating or air conditioning system or automatic fire protective sprinkler system or from within a household appliance.

Vandalism

VMM covers loss caused by willful (intentional) and malicious damage to insured property.

Smoke

Include any sudden, accidental damage from smoke.
